Nigeria recorded 120 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Monday, October 5. According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Rivers state recorded 65 fresh cases, the highest for the day followed by the FCT with 12 fresh cases. Other states with new cases include Ogun-9, Katsina-8, Anambra-7, Bauchi-5, Oyo-5. Nasarawa-3, Kaduna-2, Kwara-1, Taraba-1, Imo-1 and Delta-1. Nigeria now has 59,465 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 50,951 patients have so far been discharged with 1,113 deaths recorded.
