Nicholas Ochs, who heads the Hawaii faction of Proud Boys has been arrested after sharing a photo of him smoking while inside the US Capitol during last week's riot. The leader of the group who was arrested by FBI agents after touching down at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, reportedly claimed that he took part in the MAGA raid as a 'professional journalist'. An unsealed indictment revealed that the feds are charging Ochs with unlawful entry into restricted buildings or grounds, citing evidence they say Ochs himself laid out on social media and CNN. It was learnt that a day after the insurrection, he claimed he was there working as a professional journalist, seemingly saying he had a right to be there and was not part of the riot. He added that he simply entered without incident even after sharing a photo of him smoking a cigarette with a friend with a caption that read "Hello from the Capital lol." During an interview with CNN, Ochs said; 'We didn’t have to break in, I just walked in and filmed. 'There were thousands of people in there — they had no control of the situation. I didn’t get stopped or questioned.' Ochs is one of several dozen individuals who have been charged with unlawful entry on the Capitol grounds. The top federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia has said 'all options are on the table' for charging the rioters, many of whom were egged on by Trump’s speech hours earlier at a rally over his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden. Investigators are combing through photos, videos and tips from the public to track down members of the violent mob. The FBI has released photos of people inside the Capitol, urging the public to help identify them. The post Proud Boys leader, Nicholas Ochs who shared photo of himself smoking inside US Capitol during riot claims he was acting as a 'journalist' after being arrested appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
